Reunions

For me, this summer began and ended with reunions with Red Meat Night runners. To kick off the summer, Jill, Kristen, and I headed to Boston to meet up with Nicole. As you can see, we may be older now, but we are not any less goofy than we were in college.

While we were in Boston, Sarah Ellis just happened to be there as well for her brother's graduation from law school. We didn't think we would get to see Sarah because the Ellis' were so busy, but ... we just ran into her in Harvard Square. We were all amazed and so happy.

We also ran into Emily Mars Raymond while we were in Boston. She and Scott attend the ward that meets immediately before Nicole and Hyrum's. We got to chat with the Raymond's in the church parking lot.

We had a really great time hanging out with Nicole and Hyrum and visiting all the sites. You can read more about our trips to Boston at http://stephensclan.blogspot.com/2006/05/week-in-boston.html

My end of the summer reunion was a fun surprise. On Monday I got a call from Anika Busby announcing that her parents had just moved to the Kansas City area, and she wanted to know if Nate and I could join all the Smith's for dinner. So we drove up to Smithville to see them. Here I am with Anika, Kayla, and Luke. Everyone was impressed that Kayla would let me hold her. Apparentely she prefers her own two feet.

It was a serious party at the Smith's. As you can see it took quite a while to get everyone organized for a group shot.

We can't wait until Anika visits again! Also, the Busby's just started their own blog. Check out what they've been up to at http://www.thebuzzbees.blogspot.com/

Hey everyone, let me know when you are ready to plan another reunion!

. . . And then I realized that you had your own blog! Hello! (And hello to Jill, who probably also reads this blog.) We have so lost touch since you got married. It's good to see your blog. Probably your number is not the same. Mine is (six-three-six--five-eight-two-six). I'd love to catch up. I'll read your blog now to see how you are. . .
